SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN THE RESULTS OF SUNDAY'S SHOW
On Sunday July 31st Legion Championship Wrestling presented “Play Time Is Over” at the Casa Del Mexicano. Here are the results to the show. In our opening match the debuting team of the Brothers Darevko said that they were going to come into LCW and dominate the tag team division. Their opponents for that night were Dragon Mask and Oso Loco and they were looking to stop the Russians brothers. Unfortunately for them, the Brothers Darevko were far to powerful as they clearly dominated in the match. In the end it was a double team move as Sasha crushed Oso’s chest with double knees and then Alexis nailed him in the back of the head with a devastating lariat to get the win.
Our next match was an impromptu match as Angel took on the team of Nikki and Thunder Kitty. This match happened when Sage Sin was interviewing Amanda about her deathmatch that took place the night before against Mickie Knuckles in New Jersey. Amanda said that she once again beat Mickie and she proved to everyone on both coast that she is the toughest bitch in the wresting business. Nikki and Thunder Kitty took offense to that comment and made their way down to the ring along with a male valet by the name of Vic D. Vine. They confronted Amanda about her comments, then attacked her. Thunder Kitty took a steel chair off the LCW set and used it several times on Amanda until Angel came to the ring brandishing a chair of his own. He challenged both girls to a handicap match as security took Amanda to the locker room. The two girls agreed to the match and quickly took advantage of a distracted Angel who was yelling at Vic D, Vine that he was going to make him his bitch. The girls had most of the match in their favor until Angel finally had enough and yanked them by the hair to the outside of the ring. Amanda made her way back to the ring as the ref was distracted ( he was trying to get the action back in the ring) and nailed Kitty with death valley driver. She then went to the top rope and dove on top of Nikki and Vic as Angel rolled into the ring to cover Thunder Kitty for the 1..2..3.
Out next was Famous B who had an open challenge for anyone in the back to face him in the ring. He wanted to redeem himself to the fans for loosing the ladder match last month at “Ignition” to an east coast wrestler. He didn’t care who faced him he just wanted to show that he still is the fastest rising star in LCW. Just then the music of Los Luchas hit and Phoenix Star made his way down to ring side. He was willing to accept the challenge, so the match was on. These two wrestlers put on a awesome match that started off with some great technical wrestling, but then, these two men do what they do best and started flying around all over the place both in and out of the ring to fans delight. Some how in all the craziness Famous B was able to nail Phoenix Star with a beautiful Swanton for the victory. Afterwards Phoenix Star got on the mic and congratulated Famous B and then threw a challenge out of his own. He said he would love if Famous B would find a partner so that at the next LCW show Los Luchas could take him and his partner on. Famous B grabbed the mic and said he might have someone in mind. Even before Famous B could name a partner the fans started to chant “Willie Mack, Willie Mack” Famous B just laughed and said “ fuck it I guess next show it will be Los Luchas taking on me and my partner Willie Mack”.
After the ring was cleared LCW security stared to set up for the arm wrestling challenge between Tito Escondido and Rico Dynamite. Tito made his way into the ring first with a crutch in his hand; he then threw the crutch down and told the crowd that he was 100% healed up and he wanted a match. He continued to say that LCW was protecting Rico from being destroyed by him but since LCW didn’t sign the match, then he would humiliated Rico in this arm wrestling challenge. Just then Taste Of Perfection’s music hit and they made their way into the ring. They immediately grabbed the mic and told Tito (or as Rico kept calling him Chachi) to sit back and they would get to him in a second. Kaos called out Order 66 to face them later on that night in any type of match Order 66 wanted, and if they didn’t accept, then they would find them in the locker room and drag them to the ring and beat their ass there forcefully. Rico then took over the talking and said the only reason Order 66 won last show was because Chachi got involved. Tito kept getting more, and more pissed off since Rico kept calling him Chachi and he finally had enough and shoved Rico. Rico then shoved him back and it was about to turn into a brawl until LCW security made their way into the ring and held everyone back. All of a sudden, a siren could be heard from backstage as everyone turned their attention to the stage as GQ Money walked out of the entry way. GQ got in the ring and told the crowd that he was also being held back by LCW since at “Ignition” LCW allowed the DMT promoter to ban him from the show since he was considered to controversial. He then said that he respected Tito because although Tito wasn’t booked on the last show either, he made his presence known. He continued to say that he also sees the same star quality in Tito that he saw in Kaos years back when he made him a star. He then told Tito that he would stand by him to make sure that Rico and Kaos didn’t cheat their way to a win on this arm wrestling match. Tito agreed to having GQ in his corner and the challenge was finally on. The two men locked hands and placed their elbows on the pedestal. On a few occasions Tito kept pulling away saying that Rico was trying to start before the ref told them to. When the two men finally started it went back and forth until Rico finally seemed as if he was about to win, but just then GQ threw some kind of fireball in Kaos’s face, and as if it was planned, Tito immediately grabbed Rico’s arm with both hands as Order 66 made their way into the ring. Damien grabbed the crutch that Tito had brought with him and started to pounded away on Rico’s arm as Tito held it in place on the pedestal. Robby started to throw security out of the ring and then turned his attention on Kaos who was being aided to by Jezebel. All three men took turns on beating up Kaos and Rico as GQ Money barked the orders of destruction. GQ then said since Kaos threw out a challenge to Order 66 to face them in any type of match they wanted, then it would be a NO DQ match and would happen right now. The ref had no choice but to ring the bell. Rico somehow was able to fend off his attackers and gave him just enough time to check on Kaos who was still blinded by the fire. Kaos, not being able to see, immediately pushed Rico (Rico was trying to get him back to his feet) not knowing that it was his own partner and gave Rico a big boot to the face. That’s all their opponents needed to get back to the attack as Robbie pinned Rico for the win. Immediately Damien grabbed Jezebel who was screaming for help and started to choke her out, just then a group of wrestlers rushed to the ring and scared off the attackers. While security and staff aided Taste Of Perfection, GQ Money and his crew made their way to the balcony of the Casa. GQ who still had the mic in his hand told the stunned crowd that years ago he created a group that dominated the wrestling scene, that group was known as the Enterprise. And now in this new era of wrestling he wanted to revise that group once more, but this time instead of it being called the Enterprise, this group would be called the Elite.
For several shows now there has been a documentary film crew that has come to LCW shows to film all the exciting matches they are trying to capture for their film on Lucha Libre. This film is the first ever wrestling documentary that is being filmed in 3D for theatres. The producers of this film called us up and asked if we can get a match for certain tag team that they have been covering lately so they can film this team in action. When we found out that the team they were talking about was Los Chivos we immediately said yes since East LA is where Los Chivos hail from, we knew they would give us a action packed match. So at “Play Time Is Over” it was Los Chivos taking on the team of Johnny Star and Ian Wisely. This match was literally Mexico vs. US as Los Chivos used their Lucha Libre style to counter the American style of their opponents. All was going good for Los Chivos until their opponents used a chain to bust open both Kayam and Enigma de Oro. Los Chivos looked like they were about to suffer a lost that would for ever be captured on 3D film but somehow while Johnny and Ian argued with the ref about not counting to 3 fast enough (even though they held their feet on the ropes for extra advantage) Los Chivos snuck behind them and rolled them up with a double school boy to get the win. After their victory the bloody Chivos invited all the kids sitting at ringside to jump into the ring to celebrate the win. From the reaction of the crowd Los Chivos might have found a home here in LCW.
After the blood was some what cleaned up from the last match, it was on to six man tag team action as The Soulless Assassins took on the team of Thunderwolf and the Silver Heart Radicalz. This match was probably match of the night (the reason I say probably is because so many of the other matches came it to close to call for that spot) It was action packed from the start. I would say for the first 10 minutes all 6 men used everything in there arsenal to gain an advantage. It wasn’t until the Assassins had enough of the fair play that they went back to their cheating ways and got the advantage on Ray Rosas. At that point on, Ray took beatings by every member of the Assassins. When he was finally able to get a tag to Thunderwolf the crowd erupted with excitement. It was now time for the Assassins to get what was coming to them. Thunderwolf and Lucha Machine took control while Ray tried to get to his feet. The action spilled to the crowd as chairs were used as weapons by both teams. Orion and Ray were the only ones left in the ring and since the match was held under Lucha Libre rules they were considered the legal men. Both men tried to get the pin but it wasn’t until Blood Eagle had slid in a chair to Orion for him to drop Ray Rosas’s with a slam on that the Soulless Assassins got the victory. The Assassins immediately went to the locker room before the ref could see the chair in the ring and maybe reverse his decision.
Finally we had come to our deathmatch for the night. It was Bobby Hollywood taking on Mars Olsen. Bobby had the advantage coming to the ring because he had the devastating BC Killer in his corner. Mars tried his best, but every time he seemed to gain an advantage BC aggressively took it away. Booby was confident in everything he did because he knew that BC would back him up. At one point Bobby grabbed Mars by the arm and went to the top rope, but as soon as he reached the top, Mars pushed Bobby off and he came crashing down on a wood shaped coffin covered in barbed wire and light tubes. This alone might have got Mars the win if it wasn’t for BC stopping him. When Bobby Hollywood finally got back to the ring, the damage had been done to Mars and all he had to do was just finish him off for the pin.
